Hi Everyone, I'm coming~
The topic of discussion today is that Maersk has cut the most capacity this year, and MSC has added the most capacity.

According to Alphaliner's latest data, Danish shipping giant Maersk has cut the size of its fleet more than any other global shipping company so far this year.
After cutting fleet capacity by 1.4% in 2022, Maersk continued to sell ships or terminate charters in the first half of 2023, cutting capacity again by 2.1%.
Under previous leader Soren Skou, Maersk had said it aimed to keep the fleet size between 4 million and 4.4 million TEU, and his successor Vincent Clerc looks set to continue that policy.
In the past few weeks, however, Maersk's strategy has changed slightly, with Alphaliner reporting that it is showing signs of "taking off" in the charter market, chartering six vessels in a row.
Maersk has invested more in pursuing its goal of becoming an integrated logistics services provider rather than expanding its fleet. It was this strategy that enabled rival Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) to overtake Maersk to the top of the global shipping list 19 months ago.
Alphaliner data shows that MSC continued to be the fastest growing shipping company this year, with its fleet increasing in nominal capacity by 12.2%, or 560,200TEU.
That's it for today. Have a great weekend~
