Kuehne+Nagel's acquisition of Morgan Cargo perfectly complicates Kuehne+Nagel's perishable logistics service offerings, while improving customer connectivity to and from South Africa, the United Kingdom and Kenya, which includes state-of-the-art cold chain facilities.

In 2022, Morgan Cargo handled more than 40,000 tonnes of air freight and more than 20,000TEU of sea freight worldwide, with a team of around 450 logistics experts.

The acquisition of ITS will enable GEODis to better serve its customers in Switzerland, particularly multinational and pharmaceutical companies. Geodis CEO Marie-Christine Lombard said the acquisition brings GEODis one step closer to achieving its goal of serving customers with a global end-to-end network.

ITS is an independent Swiss freight forwarding company founded in 1992 and headquartered in Reinach, Canton Basel, Switzerland, with 26 employees. In 2022, ITS revenue was 58 million Swiss francs ($63.68 million).

In addition to standard Marine and grocery services, ITS mainly provides high-tech "special services". These services mainly organize logistics for specialized projects and very large equipment in the industrial, automotive and defense sectors.
